Doncaster Community Recycling Partnership

The Doncaster Community Recycling Partnership, a not for profit organisation, has been using an Advanced Recycling Solutions can crusher since May 2002, and, says Mr Cliff Hamnet, Operations Manager, “it is proving a damn good machine”.

The series KK 340 KanKrush machine and feed conveyor, capable of processing up to 360 Kg per hour, was sponsored by Corus, and installed to deal with Aluminium and Steel cans collected from the kerbsides of 21,000 homes. With eventual target capacity of 60,000 homes the Can Crusher is running for two hours per day, and produces at least 2 bales per minute.
